Sharing some of our favorite memories.
Whitney was the kind of person who lit up a room by walking in, whose heart was as fierce as it was kind. The pictures and memories below, reflect the love she gave, the joy she brought, and the memories that will forever keep her close in our hearts.
Keeping Her Memory Alive.
Whitney was cherished by so many, and our family wanted to create a space where those who loved her could come together and share memories, or simply to feel connected to the people who miss her just as deeply. She had a way of touching hearts that can’t be captured in a single story or summed up in a few lines. Her impact lived in the small moments, the quiet kindnesses, the laughter she sparked, and the light she carried so effortlessly.
This space is our way of honoring all of that. It’s a place to remember the joy she brought into the world, to celebrate the incredible beauty of who she was, and to keep her presence alive through the voices and memories of the people she loved. Whether you knew her well or only crossed paths briefly, your stories matter. Together, we can continue the legacy of love, strength, and grace that Whitney left with all of us.

Family Tattoos
One year after Whitney’s accident, our family found ourselves searching for a way to honor her that felt as real and personal as the love we still carry. We didn’t want a ceremony or a speech, we wanted something that lived with us, something that stayed. So, each of us chose a tattoo. None of them matched, and none of them needed to. Every design came from a different place: a memory, a symbol, a moment that still echoes.
But beneath all those differences was the same heartbeat. Each tattoo became a quiet promise that her story didn’t end, that her love didn’t disappear, and that the pieces of her she left with us are still shaping who we are. It wasn’t about marking our skin. It was about marking the space she still holds in our lives.
Jersey Retirement
We were deeply moved when Lago Vista Athletics chose to retire Whitney’s softball jersey. It was a beautiful tribute to the passion and heart she brought to every game.
Her accident happened just after returning from orientation and spending a few days with the Tarleton State Women’s Basketball team. Even in that short time, she made an impression that stayed with them. The coach and players felt her spirit so strongly that Tarleton retired a jersey in her honor as well. Their gesture speaks to the impact she had on everyone she met, and the love she left behind in every space she touched.
Keep Lago Beautiful
Keep Lago Beautiful partnered with Darling Art Studio to create a mural that captures the spirit of the Boys and Girls programs. Being able to see Whitney honored as one of its central figures was deeply meaningful for all of us. Her presence in that artwork is a reminder of the light she brought into our community and the love that continues to surround her.
