A Special Thank You!
We want to take a moment to extend a special thank you to the Lago Vista Booster Club. In our darkest hours, they found the clarity and strength to help launch our memorial fund. While we knew we didn’t want flowers or plants, we were certain we wanted to keep Whitney’s memory alive in our hearts and within our community.
Through conversations with Preston and Sabrina, the idea of giving back began to take shape. We quickly landed on the idea of partnering with the Booster Club to establish a recurring scholarship in Whitney’s honor. Though we had no idea where to start or how to execute anything—especially given the time-sensitive nature of it all—Heather Snyder, Kandice Thompson, and many others immediately sprang into action. They created a donation page, designed graphics, set up checking accounts, and did so much more—all while grappling with their own grief. Their selflessness during this difficult time means more to us than words can express.
We are forever grateful for the help and support they’ve given our family. The Lago Vista Booster Club truly represents the heart and soul of our community, operated by the best of the best.
I’d also like to give a special thank you to our friends. Through hundreds of hours of volunteering, you’ve helped turn an idea into a reality, building on the foundation the Booster Club created. Your collective efforts have elevated the scholarship into something meaningful and sustainable, and we could not have done it without you. With our coordinators in Donations, Media, Website, Decoration, and Accounting, you’ve helped create an event that honors Whitney’s memory and gives back to the community. We are incredibly blessed to have such amazing people in our lives who share the same love for Whitney and the desire to help our community. Thank you.
And last but not least, we want to thank the businesses, people, and organizations who have donated. Without your generosity, none of this would have been possible. Your support allows us to ensure this foundation continues to help students for many years to come.
